Problems getting Histwar to run

I have just bought,downloaded and installed the basic Histwar N. However when I try to run the game I get a screen with only Order of Battle editot, Map editor, Doctrine editor, Options, Credits and Quit, with no apparent means of getting into the game proper. I cannot find a manual and I am at a loss. Can anyone offer some advice?

Hi Alan
Sorry for the problem and I have no idea why.

When you launch HistWar2.exe, you have access to the menu you describe but it seems that the first line is not visible, the one that allows you to launch the game.

Could you send me a screenshot of the screen.

Perhaps reloading the package will correct the problem.
Having said that, you can launch the game itself by clicking on HWN.exe (see the folder where the game is installed).

I'm afraid I don't know how to send a screenshot. I forgot to mention that there is the Histwar line above all the editors/options etc,  clicking on this brings back the same screen after a few seconds which still doesn't work. Clicking the HWN.exe merely brings up an entry screen with Histwar on it which disappears after a few seconds. I have uninstalled, redownloaded and reinstalled the game but there is no change, it is still impossible to play.

Hello, I have not been able to rum HW since my last download, months ago.

I get the game menu screen when launching from the histwarN desk top icon, but when trying to run the game I get a few seconds of the HW loading screen, then straight back to the menu screen.
