Someone told me if you go to the Old GUI you can retreat a corp

does anyone know how you do this

Be warned that when you do this there is no countermanding the retreat order

You are correct...  ;)
This is more for people who play campaign games, when the new potential figure is the all important result.
This gives the chance for the attacker to have a chance of a good win and also for the defending player to use their skill in getting as many troops off a battlefield as possible. It gives the option of some remaining corps fighting rearguard actions. A very good step forward imo.  ;)
