Hello Gentlemen !
very good points from Darsh regarding the technical aspects and in-game information
it would certainly tidy up a few lose ends and KUDOS on the evaluation.
I agree with Friant as well on the question of realism :as it is is far superior to TW regardless of the bells and whistles...
however
I for one would not cringe if some cut-to film/w sombre music in H2 something that would show ...a general looking anxiously through his spyglass at the horizon when a messenger with message is lost or delayed.
I would like to ask if movement on the map in H2 will be realistic to the condition of the ground and weather
Make such obstacles as marshes and woods impassable to artillery unless they remain in column on a road.
(if one is present through the wood)
...roads ? are roads that important ? Wellington at Waterloo for example made use of one in particular very effectively.
sunken roads are also useful for temporary shelter as well as dips in the ground (in front of Wachau/Leipzig).
we can go up with hills, can we go down 50m ?
Can we have a realistic ammo supply wagon formula reducing rate of fire when ammo is depleted
or ammo wagon is blown up to smithereens ( road penalty )
I love the maps the fellas made with Scilab
)))) very much indeed...
however
is it possible to get a block interface for building maps each block represents a particular terrain
-example when you put 4 blocks of hill up that's 400 m elevation roughly when you choose a 'copse' on the 2d map that's what you get on the 3d map.
....instead of the clumsy expanding circle to build a 'round hill' and tedious work to shape it aaaarrrrrgh ! (just kidding)
...Robert E Lee sent a division to get some shoes at Gettysburg can we get some Victory point towns/buildings in H2 ?
Thanks for your patience and grateful to JMM and team and all you cats for all the passion in the play
