Techniquement parlant, pourrais tu afficher les unités dans une taille unique (les 10 Km actuels) quelques soient les tailles des cartes choisies ?
Technically, could you display units in a single size (the current 10 km), whatever the size of the selected maps?
When I built the first version of map editor (8 years ago), the solution was to limit the number of meshes.
One of solution was to have several mesh size (in fact 3: 100,150,300) for the 3 maps size (6-10,15,30 km)
So, HW works with 3 scales (1,1.5,3)... BUT... the 3D models are always displayed at full precision.
In the present version, the camera hight is scaled with this scale (1.5,3)... and the 3D models are smaller.
I am working on 03b(RC2) and I am modifying this feature (limit of camera high around 2 meters whatever the scale)
For the new scale 1/1, 1/2...
It is possible the camera high is limited to 5 meters...
Why : because the FPS is conditional on the number of pixels...
the number of pixels is conditional on the number of 3D models...
Fixing the limit around 5 meters allows both to keep a good FPS and to watch the massive army.
