I'm fighting a campaign battle with lllloooooonnnnnggggg order delays and have formations cascading into each other as contact has been made.  I find the F2 2D map virtually useless in this situation and have to change to the F4 symbolic display to issue any useful orders.

I am grateful that I can change between displays, but I urge an ability to zoom in a little on the 2D map.


Je suis dans un combat du campagne avec tres longs retards dans les commandes et ont des formations en cascade les uns aux autres en tant que contact a été fait. Je trouve la 2D F2 carte pratiquement inutile dans cette situation et ont pour passer à l'affichage F4 symbolique pour rendre toute ordonnance utile.

 Je suis reconnaissant que je peux changer entre les écrans, mais je demande si une capacité à zoomer un peu sur la carte 2D sera un chose important pour l'avenir.

Absolutely ! And not only in " campaign" maps !

I have been asking for a zoomable 2D map for months... :evil:

It doesn't seem such a big deal, nowadays, being a usual feature in many games. maybe some technical problem prevents JMM from doing this... :?:

I'm not sure that I need it on smaller map, but in the campaign, it would be nice to zoom into a 10 km map, for e.g.

hmm I dont think zoomable map works its a 2d its amp representation with toy blocks really . How about contour maps docent have to mark every foot and such but at least every 50 or 100 meter rise should help :) I know there are shades in the map that represent such thin but in 2d map I think its better If you have contour lines dosent have to be exact but at least it circles high ground position and dots little hills . Well I suck at reading the map in 2d mode and I always forgot pratzen heights is on top of that lake  I cant remember (when its snowing and such I cant hardly tell the difference of height)

At the top center on the old GUI and top right on the new GUI, you have a read out of the height under the cursor
