Thanks, JMM.

Great improvements on the unit card, amazing, it's near perfect.

Just a preliminary suggestion: the 4 numbers representing the number of the guns (ex: 4 0 0 2, meaning 8 12' and 2 HW) could be clearer - maybe a tooltip help could show when hovering over the numbers, or one could click on them to have a more detailed description.

This game is getting better and better !!

Is it just me or has the unit behavior started to be a bit odd? In the 3d mod there seems to be a problem with unit facing and formations. My units are frequently performing "attack on defensive line" although they are far from the enemy. Both the AI and my units are constantly trying to get into some kind of formation without succeding. The result is a constant movement back and forth without facing the enemy. Anyone else eperiencing this?

Yes! I experiencing this as well  :(
Had a couple of battles. When I set up a defensive line far from the enemy, suddenly units start to "attack defensive line" FAR FAR from the enemy. One time it was a lone artillery unit..it went all the way to be destroyed by enemy arty. I have noticed worse AI now.
Sometimes the units form a line with their back to the enemy.
I know that JMM know about these problems and are looking into them :)

New GUI in action>MP Battle with Gunner24

Using maximum transparency, I am enjoying watching my 12th Line Infantry Regiment deploy whilst still able to command the French Army in 2D.  This is gives a whole new dimension to the integration of  Command and Control and pure enjoyment :p

It is a beta patch which we should all keep in mind. That being said Regimental (and to an extent Corps) AI has gone whacky with this patch to the point of making the game basically unplayable for me. I will be reverting to 2f for real games.

That being said I appreciate what you are trying to do JMM. There are some things I like with the new UI and some things I prefer with the old UI so I tend to switch between both when it comes to playing a game. That is fine.

Im inclined to agree with this view as well, but sometimes, you have to chang it to see the hamlets or smaller villages in the 2d

Is this in MP or solo ?, we have played several MP games with the latest beta patch and all looks well to me, I've been watching skirmishers be deployed to shoot down artillery crews, I've seen Cavalry attack artillery batteries while they were re-deploying from one place to another, I saw two Austrian Regts engage one French, both with skirmishers sent out in front, attacking forces deploy artillery, Cav engage anything that is a threat, if they think they can win, or they avoid engagement, if they know they will lose......have you checked your doctrine file is set as you would like units to behave ?.

There are a few odd things here and there, but I'd be surprised if that never happened taking into account the mighty scale of the game and all the 100s of different things happening.

Corps orders are fine the vast majority of the time, again, a couple of odd things now and then, but that does not stop this being far and away the best Napoleonic game for us to play.

As far as solo is concerned, I don't know, as I only use that to quickly test new maps and MP "plans" now and then.

We are having no problems either

My experience is solo play is very similar. Very few odd behaviors  :D
