Great screens, great battle!!! He was strong in the center and as is the ever present danger with that type of attack, when he burst through he created a "Bubble" exposing both flanks of the attacking force

Alfiere and anyone else who wants a real challenge. My suggestion for the next battle is the Rear Guard action, La Rothiere.
With a CEH of 82 for France against 175, it makes it the toughest of fights. I have never prevailed, I did come close once.
Same battle settings, Marker/info Vague/Ammo Historical/Galvanised Units

Let me know, I may even fight it today if you agree.

I think my battle had a bug, it ended at 1800 hrs but it should have been 2200 hrs. At that time both Armies retreated from the battlefield as though it was the end of the first day of a 2 day Battle.
However I got a decent CEH victory and at the time of the retreat I was poised for a" General Advance"
My plan from the beginning was to defend across the narrowest point so creating a concentration of forces in a smaller area, remember I am outnumbered over 2 to 1, so I need an edge. My right is anchored by the town and protected by the river, my left protected by the Forest and Marsh. In the past I had tried to use the other towns and the hills but the enemy always prevailed.
I think I will fight this one again.
