In an upcoming patch (on 2 or 3) a set of fact sheets give very precise information about various laws.
Without going into detail now, the loss of a line causes a 10% drop in morale unless it is accompanied by a decision of a LOP side.

The loss of 2 lines divided by 2 spirits, multiply by 2 than the opponent.
Suffice to say that the chances of returning forwards are thin when one side has lost its 2 lines of operation, especially since the leak thresholds are modulated by the moral.
In other words, a unit that leaves the field to 22% loss (reference Moral = 75) will leave about 14% (Moral = 37)
The same care that supports up to 48% loss folds finally to 31%.

Another sheet also will specify the method of calculating the Moral. The number of parameters is large (over 20).
* Assessment intrinsic moral basis, regimental artillery, fatigue, Artillery uncoupled, defensive factor
* modifier battle total loss, defeat enemy instant loss, leakage, loss of commander, lost the flag, bombing
* Amending environment: the presence of Army Chief, Commander, Guard, Elite Other units, reinforcement, Prisoners
* Amending threat threat side or rear line of operation, cohesion
The score is "cumulative" for the first 3 batches, multiplicative for the current and applicable to the sum of the first 3 modifiers ... I hope it is not too abstruse.

I hope this patch is not too much longer, I'm well fed up with the "white screen" on start up every day and the "red screen" for map making.

I may be totaly wrong but if it were me I'd issue these urgent fixs, well, urgently, then the others later if there not ready yet.

This game is so near Nappy perfection for me. Just run the bugs out and take a look at the UI. The formula for an amazing game is there, we just need to wax it a bit. Shine her up.
