Split Regiments

Doing the Austrian OOB for Hausen. They have a habit of splitting Hussar Regiments between Divisions (4 sqds in one 4 in another) editor does not allow this. Short of renaming another regiment (as I'm doing now) is there anther way please

Hi there,

In the OOB Editor every single unit is unique : it cannot be reused elsewhere in the same OOB except when the mention "can be duplicated" is added in the text box under the image of the unit => it's the case with Austrian Grenadiers (Grenadieren Division) for example.
The solution is to use a second unit (of the same quality), to rename it and to change its colors to make it similar to the first unit  (this late feature can be done in the panel dedicated to the unit by clicking on the "Distinctive colors" link).

It's even easier!
It is possible to duplicate even those units that are not meant to be duplicated by simply renaming it.
Let's say you want to split "IR. 53 blabla" between different commands. Add your unit and rename it to "IR. 53 blabla/1". When adding the next unit the original entry appears again!
This way you could even create armies with 100 Württemberg regiments although there are only 3 in the database by renaming them.

Oh nice!!  Thanks orendel.  I was wondering what to do with artillery units that got their companies split between units.  This will help a lot.
