Interesting...going to have to take a close look at this. Its my hope that LG with its available editors will lend itself well to campaigns. have been involved in fair number of them over the years using several different games ( I realize LG doesn't have a campaign editor....but then again none of the rest of the games we used had one ether) as both a player and GM and enjoyed them all.

Can a  player take control of lets say Confederation of the Rhine troops? More so the Bavarian troops and even the Baden troops. Thinking of the Campaign in 1805 and 1809 and even 1812

I was thinking since the Bavarian army took part in 1805 vs Archduke Fernidad(sp) at the battle of Stecken, which was a smaller battle on the flanks but still a decent sized battle with about 30,000 troops for the Austrians and I think the Bavarian army under Wrede had 2 infantry brigades and one cavalry brigade.

I am a fan of French troops but also a fan of the Bavarian army as well.

Yes this is a circumstance that we believe will occur, players will have control of a minor country Corps and will be particularly interesting during a campaign system set ups as we envisage in the future, and minor countries will have a place but under the CNC control of France or whatever command structure they where in historically or in a historic Campaign.

But also in a full political campaign re-enactment, Bavaria may not be a minor country of France it could be a controlled minor country of Austria, but as such we envisage that these minors country Corps will have a player for each of them, but they will operate under the CNC command they are allied with, for strategic moves, but for the battlefield they should be controlled by the player concerned.

Yes we have an outline as to a campaign system using a third party system, or Campaign system using other software which dove tails perfectely with HW:LG for our use, we have been using this software for over 3 years now we have been researching this option and beleive its and easy transition.
I will not mention the name of this software here but just visit us and I think you will see it for yourself
But I beleive eventually a Campaign system will be done sometime in the future by jmm
Thanks
