Just a comment...

This demo was not the best I can do... but almost everyone understood it's a temporary failure! THX!
ASAP a new version after double checking the different issues. (Beta test team and I are going to work hard)

I think despite some bugs the Demo has been a success in the long run! Yes, success is what I said!  I don't think I am alone in seeing glimpses of what this game is capable of.

Don't waste too much time on the Demo, get the real thing out!

Note : in solo mode, you must only use the montebello OdB, no the tutorial OdB... Very Important!

Could you say if the units disappear with this OdB ?

Hello JMM,

as von Döbeln said, I didn't see any troops disappearing with the Montebello settings too.

It is a great pleasure to see the battle unfold, to feel napoleonic atmosphere, to listen to the thunder of the guns, to wait and hope for the orders you gave will correct carried out, to see your troops forming line and advance, to...

...as you see I like it...oh no, I love it !!!

it's time for an option that you can smell the black powder in the battle

I have never seen any troops disappearing because I always play with the Montebello settings.

I wonder what's so different about the Montebello oob? Why only this oob make the demo works well and the others don't.I hope in the real game there'll be no difference if we use one oob or the other.

Great news from the Frontiers.  The Tsar Alexander has scored a decisive tactical victory at the Battle of Torun over the Corsican Ogre!  Napoleon's army of 83000 is reduced to 47000 while the Tsar lost only half that amount.  Oh for the campaign module to pursue these french dogs with!!

The battle was fought on Montebello with the Montebello forces:

Sad to report, however, that as the Pavlov Guards marched on Torun, pursuing a retiring regiment of French light infantry (who seemed unaware of Russian line infantry behind them in the town), the french light infantry disappeared!  Ooorah!!

I'm finding that playing the game at about 20/60 gives a nice visual feel, though the cavalry is still pretty frisky at that speed.  However as my 'immediate' orders delay was still 30min, until first contact is made I ran the machine at 6/60.  My impression is that the battle, with 7 1/2 divisions on my side, took about 2 hours to play (probably about 7hrs game time).

Don't forget it's the free demo. there is a special system to avoid this software is used with other OoBs.

OoB for tutorials are used for the third tutorials.
These OoB don't run fine with the Solo mode. (and I forgot to disable this matching Solo - OoB of tutorial)

For the real game, this system is disabled and there isn't any problem!!!

I do believe we will find that there are, comparatively, almost no problems from the demo in the final game.  Seems a bit of a 'oncer'.

And JMM, please allow yourself more sleep.  No sense in being run-down when there's swine flu about, eh! ;)  Nevertheless, thanks for the demo.
