This monograph describes individual military achievements of the brilliant French commanders of early XIX century, their battles and course of life. As against the extensive literature, already published on this theme, the basic emphasis is made on detailed critical analysis of all (with no exception!) battles that have been carried out by the marshals, beginning from their conscription on military service until death or honourable resignation. The worth of this book, by the Author’s opinion, is in integrated approach to analysis of the Napoleon’s marshals phenomenon, based on the biographies of all 26 commanders, but not only 3-4 of most famous military leaders, as it was done many times before.
