Battle of Aspern-Essling - May 21-22 1809
« le: 04 avril 2010, 19:02:02 pm »
Gentlemen:

I just posted a new Aspern-Essling May 21-22 1809 scenario for your enjoyment.  I deliberately used a 6 KM map to keep the battle line focus on the area between the villages of Aspern and Essling.  The 6 KM also emulates the congested "bridgehead" area when the French forces crossed onto the north bank of the Danube from Lobau Is.   I did not have problems with the 6 KM map during game play testing however if problems are reported - I will redesign the Aspern-Essling map to 10 KM - let me know.

I did the map design -but once again "thanks" to orendel for his excellent OOBs.

Here is a direct link to the scenario http://www.guggs.de/hwlg/file.php?id=38

Enjoy - Happy Easter.

All is fine now : I have all the files of this scenario. It was because I tried to unzip with "PowerArchiver" instead of "Rar" !
Good work, Yankee1950.
Thanks a lot.

Excellent job Yankee, thanks for this scenario! First playthrough went pretty accurate, I pushed up with Massena on the Aspern side and was getting driven back on Essling. I had a bug where Massena left the field on me near the start (somehow his corps performed well without him  :D) but probably doesn't have to do with the scenario.

Thanks!

Thanks Iron Warrior - I had the same problem as you during "play testing" where the commander left the field - in my case it was the Emperor himself (must have had a bad omen about the battle).  This appears to be a "bug" in the game.

Regards
