Time for battle ending ????

I've not seen this mentioned anywhere, I did a few searchs and found nothing......so sorry if it's already been discussed but how/where does it say how long a battle is due to last ?.....Is it different on different maps and battles.....

We started a MP 1v1 at 8am and expected it to go on till nightfall, but it finished at 1pm before either side had any real chance to gain a victory - would this be classed as a "bug" ?.

It was displayed something like "No tactical winner", "No strategical winner" and at bottom "Analysis", "Continue" and I think a third option I don't remember.

I clicked "Analysis". Should I had clicked on "Continue"???

I missed that, now you mention it that is an option in SP games, or is it, I've not played many....but it was a dis-appointment to finish at game time 1pm.

All I got was the game looking like it was "paused" but it never re-started when attempted to re-start it.

I wonder why we can't pursue our game because the "Analysis". Next time I will hit "Continue" and see what.

The maximum length of the battle is set on the map in the map editor: you choose the start hour and the duration. Check by opening the map in the editor and seeing what it is set too.

Thanks, I would think it might be better for all the battles to have a "published" start and end time.

Whenever you make a new battle you can choose the length you want for the battle, by default i think it is 5 hours unless you change it (I have to check on that). Also among the conditions for the battle to end is if you have about 30% losses. If you both had approximately 30% losses the game would end without a winner...
You would have to check and see

Thanks VC, we have only played the "in game" battles so far, can the times be changed on them ?......I've not had time to look at building new battles yet as getting mp and pbem sorted out has taken most of my time.......next on to maps and oobs later.

When SP battles that I have had have ended earlier than I would have wishes, (when I felt that there were still things I wanted to do, manouvers I wanted to make), I tried hitting "CONTINUE", but nothing ever happens.
The only "working" options at present appear to be SUMMARY and EXIT.
