greetings. Will there be an easy way to host TCP/IP games with HWN so everyone can host MP games whenever they want to without needing a good host everytime ? yesterday we tried to have a mp but both got the same error connection fail 1C ...

I don't think the problem is your PC.. just the connection between the systems...

I don't understand because:
a) I didn't modify the procedure since several years,
b) I have not any feedback about the MP (I think several players play in MP each day...)
If I don't make a mistake, I may not improve the MP game because I don't think the problem is within the game itself.

If others gamers get issue with the MP, I have to know in order to analyse the possible causes.

anyway Miko & Count Miloradovich helped so i hosted on tunngle and it worked.
this is the list of ports for the ones who cant play mp:... again thanks to Miko & Count Miloradovich ...

I know this is a very old topic, but I spotted this from sandman [on another topic] today :

Regarding the multiplayer-aspect a major problem was, that most of the participiants, including me, werent able to host a mp-game, although we checked port issues and other conditions which are considered vital to conduct MPs

When I was active, 2010 to 2014, I had no problems hosting or joining MP games, but I know other people did have problems, as above.

I never did anything "special" to my PC when hosting games with a 2008 built PC with windows XP and McAfee AV.........I just loaded the game and started a MP game for others to join, no problem at all.

Are people STILL having this "hosting" problem, and if so, what is the cause of it ?....is it to do with OS or AV software ?..........and of course how to resolve it ?.

I might be buying a new desktop PC later this year (with windows 10 installed I assume) and would not be pleased to find I could not host an HW MP game.

Well, I was talking about the "Tournament of Vailor" conducted by Lancier last autumn/winter. So its just like 7 months ago, when most of the participiants werent able to host a game.

Well, not me. And I guess there wasnt pretty much activity lately. If I had to risk a bet, I would give a dime on the french comrades trying some MP.

But zu Pferd is right. If there was an opportunity with steam, the issue might be resolved then. Also hamachi is not a bad option either.

Les problèmes Erreur 1C sont dû au fait que :
- le routeur n'est pas bien configuré
- et/ou que le pare-feu doit être configuré pour permettre les entrées et les sorties.
