A question about the artillery - can I assume that damage will be different from solid shot and cannister shot? Will the effects be different too?

From looking at the videos, you have both canister and solid for cannon, and canister, shell and solid for howitzers.

And yes also from the videos the effects are diffrent, canister peppers the enemy with many small balls, taking out big chunks of the formation, while solid only paves a path through the ranks
